Cardiff & Vale University Health Board: Staff and public asked to help add value

Hundreds of staff, patients and the public are being asked to play their part in how the Health Board improves patient care.

Staff and the public are being asked to share their experiences by taking part in a short survey and joining one of the many events being held in September.

Survey

‘In YOUR Shoes’ sessions will take part between 19th September and 26th September 2016 .

  • There will be around 30 patients and 30 members of staff in each session
  • Each session is 2 hours long for patients and families
  • At the session you will be paired with a member of staff who will listen to you talk about your experiences in our care in detail
  • We will then explore the common themes in people’s experiences across the group
  • Your feedback will be completely confidential

Professor Adam Cairns, the health board’s Chief Executive, said:

“As part of Shaping Our Future Wellbeing; our 10 year strategic vision, we have identified the values that staff and the public have told us embody the work we do. We learn by listening to our patients and staff and the programme “In your shoes” is designed to help us see and understand things from the patient perspective to live those values.”
