Access to work event

Ceredigion Disability Forum and the Department for Work and Pensions invite you to an event:

  • at Canolfan Rheidol, Llanbadarn Fawr SY23 3GA
  • 29th June 2018
  • at 9:30am, repeated at 11:00am

If you have a disability or long-term health or mental health condition and it’s affecting you in your job or getting one, then Access to Work may be able to help you.

Access to Work is a discretionary grant-based award delivered by Jobcentre Plus that can pay for support for people with a disability, health or mental health condition, and disability related workplace needs – beyond those covered by an employer’s responsibility for reasonable adjustments. You don’t have to pay it back and it doesn’t affect any other benefits. It can pay for things like:

  • Mental health support service
  • Specialist equipment
  • Travel to and from work
  • Support workers

Open to health and social care customers and professionals, choose from either the 9:30am or 11:00am session. Each interactive session explains Access to Work and the journey from application to award using real life case studies. A provider of specialist disability workplace equipment then demonstrates some of the different types of help available and invites you to see for yourself.

(Toilet facilities and refreshments will be available)
