Do you have a Direct payment Personal Assistant who lives in the Swansea or NPT area? Yes? Tell them about this webinar from Community lives:

The webinar is aimed at Direct Payment Personal Assistants and will look at the subject of personal development for this important group of staff.  Participants will also have the opportunity to view our free online resource: “The Personal Assistants Online Guidebook”.

PA’s can join the webinar in one of two ways:

  • We are looking for a small number of PA’s to join us in an online classroom using Google Hangouts (a free video call app).  In the “classroom” you will be able to interact with the other PA’s as well as Richard and myself as tutors.  You will be able to ask live questions and also share your experiences of personal development
  • You may prefer to join the webinar as an “audience member” and watch the session live on YouTube using Google’s Hangouts on Air broadcasting service.
However the webinar will be recorded and made generally available to watch after the live event.

To join the webinar, you will need (in advance):

  • A desktop PC, laptop, Android or Apple tablet or Smartphone (with a front facing camera)
  • A headset with headphones and microphone (only for those in the online classroom)
  • a Google email (Gmail) account
  • a reliable internet connection
  • Google Hangouts (if you are using a Windows or Apple PC or laptop, you will need to download and install this.  If you are using a smartphone or tablet – it can be downloaded as a free App.)

Sounds complicated?  It really is quite straightforward and support is available.  We can help you set up the basics of a Gmail (Google Mail) account etc.

When you have set this up:

  • Send an email from your Gmail (Google Mail) account to digiskills.cymtu@gmail.com entitled “Hangouts” – introducing yourself to the team presenting the webinar.  This will ensure we can invite to connect to the webinar.
  • Having registered – you will then receive full instructions on how to join us on the day.
