‘Getting a New Job-Presenting Yourself with Confidence’

a free session on Saturday 30th April at Golygfa Gwydyr, Llanrwst, 9am – 2pm with Jock Andrews [teas, coffees and biscuits included].

One of the things many people find difficult is finding the confidence to put themselves across while making the best possible impression, particularly in interviews. When we’re asked to present ourselves our minds go blank, our mouths dry up (or we just gabble!) and we can struggle to do ourselves justice.

This one day session will give you the chance to understand and practice the skills that can help you make the most positive impression on employers, colleagues and in social situations. As well as the impression you make on others, you will learn how to help yourself feel more positive & confident.

Some of the subjects covered will be:

  • Preparing for that first impression
  • Managing nerves
  • Building rapport
  • Using body language & voice
  • Being assertive

The session will be practical and interactive – everyone will have the chance to have a go and practice some new skills. Sometimes just doing this can feel like a challenge, but there will be lots of support & encouragement, and tips on how to make it feel easier. Previous participants have all said that the practice sessions have made a big difference to their level of confidence when they have used the skills for real.

Going for an interview is never going to be the most relaxing experience – this session can at least make it much less stressful, and give you the chance to put yourself across with the most positive impact possible.

Could you please let Rosie Evans know whether you can attend the course as soon as possible please, by Wednesday 27 April preferably.
