WAMES doesn’t have a research programme but there are a number of ME research organisations doing ground breaking work that would benefit from our support this Giving Tuesday – the day to pledge ‘to do good stuff for charity’:
UK research projects
- Make ME Better! Metabolomics study – ME Association. Goal £50,000
- CureME: UK ME/CFS Biobank expansion
- Invest in ME: B/Cell rituximab trial; Gut microbiota; Centre of excellence for translational research
- ME Research UK energises ME research by commissioning and funding scientific (biomedical) investigation into the causes, consequences and treatment of ME/CFS
US research projects
- Bateman Horne Center: Wings to fly Biomarker Research project
- ME/CFS Monster study: The Microbial Discovery and Immunity study – Columbia University Center for Infection and Immunity ME/CFS research. Goal: $5,000,000
- ME/CFS Severely ill Big Data Study & End ME/CFS project – Open Medicine Foundation. Giving Triple Tuesday – Until November the 29th 2016, EVERY donation received will be TRIPLED, thanks to several anonymous donors who have donated to increase their campaign goal. Every $1 donated donate be matched with $3 to bring us closer to a cure. Triple Giving Tuesday goal: $160,000
