The Welsh Government believes strongly an open discussion will help create better health and better services.

The Welsh Government has made a commitment to enter into discussions with the NHS and the public on how we can work better together on improving health and health services.

The aim will be to make it easier for people to talk to the NHS and the Government and get the information and help they need. This consultation provides an opportunity to start these discussions. Issues covered include:

  • Use of new technology in communication
  • How to encourage people to look after themselves
  • The role of self care
  • Public’s role in designing services
  • Availability and efficacy of information about services
