Volunteers week 2021

WAMES wants to say a big thank you to all the volunteers, past and present, who have made the work of WAMES possible.

WAMES relies on volunteers working together to ‘make a difference for ME in Wales‘.

  • we support and inform each other
  • we raise awareness of ME as a debilitating long term neurological condition
  • we campaign for: appropriate health, education and social care services; welfare benefits that give sufficient support while we are vulnerable; and more research funds to improve understanding, diagnosis and treatment.

Volunteers are people who care. We come from a wide range of backgrounds with varying levels of health and ability to function, but WAMES supports us all to find our niche.  There is always more to do!
