{"id":10643,"date":"2016-11-17T06:31:20","date_gmt":"2016-11-17T06:31:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wames.org.uk\/cms-english\/?p=10643"},"modified":"2016-11-17T06:31:20","modified_gmt":"2016-11-17T06:31:20","slug":"me-associations-metabolomics-study-appeals-for-funds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wames.org.uk\/cms-english\/me-associations-metabolomics-study-appeals-for-funds\/","title":{"rendered":"ME Association&#8217;s Metabolomics study appeals for funds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>ME Association:<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.meassociation.org.uk\/how-you-can-help\/make-me-better\/\" target=\"_blank\">Make ME Better! appeal<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Our\u00a0Make ME Better\u00a0campaign aims to raise \u00a350,000 to fund scientific research which we hope could lead to a breakthrough in diagnosis and treatment of ME\/CFS.<\/p>\n<p>Led by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.obs-gyn.ox.ac.uk\/team\/karl-morten\" target=\"_blank\">Dr Karl Morten<\/a>, scientists from the University of Oxford and Newcastle University wish to spend 12 months analysing nearly 300 blood samples, looking at metabolomics \u2013 chemical clues that are left behind after changes in cells.
