These\u00a0articles were coded quantitatively and frequency tables were created to\u00a0delineate the variables as they appeared in the articles.<\/p>\n<p>Results:<br \/>\nThe etiology was portrayed as organic in 64.5% (n=138) of the articles,\u00a0and there was no mention of case definitions or diagnostic criteria in\u00a056.1% (n=120) of the articles. The most common comorbidity was\u00a0depression, appearing in 22.9% (n=49) of the articles. In 55.6% (n=119)\u00a0of the articles, there was no mention of prevalence rates. In 50.9%\u00a0(n=109) of the articles, there was no mention of any form of treatment\u00a0for the illness.
