Over the last few years a number of global campaigns have been launched to raise awareness of ME. Here in Wales they have struck a chord and we have been adding our voice to those around the world.<\/p>\n

#TimeForUnrest<\/strong><\/a>
\nis a global campaign to grow and strengthen the global movement for equal recognition, education, research, and funding for ME.<\/p>\n

For International ME Awareness Day and throughout the year WAMES is drawing attention to the pressing need for equal recognition, health and social care here in Wales.<\/p>\n

It is #TimeForUnrestWales<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

\"\"NHS Wales has\u00a0ignored the requests from past Health Ministers for Health, and the current Cabinet Minister,\u00a0to implement the 2014\u00a0Task & Finish Group Report Recommendations<\/a>, aimed at improving health care of people with ME and CFS.<\/p>\n

NHS Wales has also ignored requests from patients, carers and WAMES during 2017 to introduce training and awareness\u00a0sessions to #HelpNHSbeMEaware<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"NHS Wales is clearly unable to meet its legal and moral responsibility to care for people with ME and CFS so WAMES is writing to the Cabinet Minister for Health, Vaughan Gething, to challenge him to commit Government money and time to finding a\u00a0solution.<\/p>\n

All improvements in care begin with understanding the nature of ME, its impact on the lives of patients and their families, and how to accurately diagnose it.<\/p>\n
