It is heterogeneous in presentation without\u00a0diagnostic indicators; therefore, in health care encounters, insight\u00a0must be gained from the patient&#8217;s perspective.<\/p>\n<p>One indicator of impact\u00a0can be gained by measuring quality of life (QoL). By applying a<br \/>\npatient-reported outcome measure (PROM), professionals can gather\u00a0insights with direct relevance to the patient questioned. Such a tool\u00a0can act therapeutically tool to promote holistic and individualized\u00a0professional interventions and interval measurement can inform\u00a0commissioning of specialist services.<\/p>\n<p>Standard practice appears not\u00a0fully to capture the experience of CFS, while a search of the literature\u00a0turned up QoL patient-reported outcome tools, but failed to reveal a\u00a0CFS\/ME-specific measure.
