--smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 300\/238;\" \/><\/a>The <a href=\"http:\/\/europeanmealliance.org\/index.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">European ME Alliance<\/a> (EMEA) invites people <a href=\"http:\/\/europeanmealliance.org\/news-Q12020-001.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">to take part in a study<\/a> to find out whether:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ME\/CFS patients more often get infected with COVID-19 than other people?<\/li>\n<li>people with ME\/CFS have other and\/or more or more severe symptoms than others?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Internist <a href=\"https:\/\/rocketreach.co\/joris-vernooij-email_85900412\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dr. Joris Vernooij<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.erasmusmc.nl\/en\/research\/researchers\/louwen-rogier\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dr. Rogier Louwen<\/a> of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eur.nl\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Erasmus University<\/a>, Rotterdam in the Netherlands, have developed an online scientific research project in which ME\/CFS patients with and without COVID-19 and a control group of people around the patients are urged to participate.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wames.org.uk\/cms-english\/covid-19-among-me-cfs-patients-take-part-in-a-research-study\/emea-logo\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-25244\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-25244 lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wames.org.uk\/cms-english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/EMEA-Logo.jpg?resize=247%2C204&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"247\" height=\"204\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wames.org.uk\/cms-english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/EMEA-Logo.jpg?w=247&amp;ssl=1 247w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wames.org.uk\/cms-english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/EMEA-Logo.jpg?resize=150%2C124&amp;ssl=1 150w\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 247px) 100vw, 247px\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 247px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 247\/204;\" \/><\/a>The <a href=\"https:\/\/mecvs.nl\/nieuws\/persbericht-covid-19-onder-me-cvs-patienten\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ME\/CFS Foundation Netherlands<\/a> has invited all ME\/CFS patient organisations in the Netherlands and in <a href=\"http:\/\/europeanmealliance.org\/groupmembers.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">EMEA member countries<\/a> to participate in the study.<\/p>\n<p>The initiators of the project and all those involved in the research work are working completely pro bono.\u00a0 Therefore, no costs will be incurred by participants.<\/p>\n<p>It will involve short weekly online surveys. \u00a0You will need to register with Erasmus University and will need a mobile phone to receive a passcode.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zorgvolg.nl\/mecvscor.php?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Participate in the research<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Research on Covid-19 among ME\/CFS patients &nbsp;
