{"id":36290,"date":"2022-08-19T07:51:26","date_gmt":"2022-08-19T06:51:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wames.org.uk\/cms-english\/?p=36290"},"modified":"2023-02-06T10:13:06","modified_gmt":"2023-02-06T10:13:06","slug":"delivery-plan-on-me-cfs-for-england","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wames.org.uk\/cms-english\/delivery-plan-on-me-cfs-for-england\/","title":{"rendered":"Delivery Plan on ME\/CFS for England"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>DHSC Delivery Plan on ME\/CFS development strategy<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Department for Health &amp; Social Care (DHSC) in England has laid out the way they intend to develop the &#8220;cross-Government Delivery Plan on ME\/CFS for England&#8221;, which their Health Secretary announced in <a href=\"https:\/\/questions-statements.parliament.uk\/written-statements\/detail\/2022-05-12\/hlws23\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">May 2022<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.meaction.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/MECFS-Public-Comms-FINAL-17-8-22-1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">communication to stakeholders<\/a> on 17th August, the DHSC outlines the governance structure which has been in operation since June.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-36291 size-large lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wames.org.uk\/cms-english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Delivery-Plan-MECFS-England-structure.jpg?resize=880%2C528&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"880\" height=\"528\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 880px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 880\/528;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The members of the Delivery Plan Task &amp;\u00a0 group include all the co-chairs of the working groups, ME\/CFS specialists, senior DHSC and cross government departmental officials, representatives from NICE, NHS England and three ME\/CFS charity\/ organisation representatives nominated by Forward ME.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Scottish, Welsh and Northern Ireland Governments are also represented.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The document describes how the working group memberships have been selected and gives information about proposed timescale.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Timescales for the work<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Working Groups<\/strong> have been meeting regularly from June 2022 to discuss current problems, a vision for the future and proposals for action.
