Gwynedd and Anglesey well-being consultation

So what’s good about your area?

There’s an opportunity for you to have your say about the area where you live in a consultation currently taking place across Gwynedd and Anglesey. The aim of the consultation is to find out what’s important to people within their communities and what they would like to see improved for the future.

When does this take place?
The Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act came into force on 1st April 2016. The purpose of the act is to improve the social, economic, environmental and cultural well-being of Wales. The new act has created Public Services Boards for each local authority area to make sure that public bodies work together to create a better future for the people of Wales.

For Gwynedd and Môn, both Boards have decided to work together, and it’s a partnership which includes the local authorities, the fire and rescue service, the health service and Natural Resources Wales.

The Gwynedd and Môn Service Board has divided the whole area into 14 smaller areas. Research has been carried out on behalf of the Board on each of the 14 areas to learn and understand more about the well-being of those areas.

As well as the data available, we also want to know what you think about your community – what’s important to you, what’s good and what needs improving.

How can I share my thoughts?
You will have an opportunity to have your say at one of the local drop-in sessions or in an online questionnaire. If you live in Gwynedd please click here, or if you live on Anglesey please click here.

The consultation starts on the 1st of November 2016 and ends on the 31st of December  2016. The hope is that the Board will then have a clearer picture of our communities, what’s important to the people in this part of Wales, and how partners can work together to plan for the future.
