Citizen Directed Co-operatives Cymru (CDCC) will support greater voice, choice and control for disabled people through the development of citizen led Direct Payment co-operatives. These co-operatives will provide Direct Payment recipients with a new way to manage their direct payments and will support citizens to take control of their support requirements:
- Choose who delivers your support;
- Decide where and when you receive support;
- Have the independence and freedom to choose how your requirements are best met, and the peer support to make it happen.
CDCC is an innovative project delivered in partnership between Disability Wales and Wales Co-operative Centre and is funded by Big Lottery’s BIG Innovation fund until March 2018.
Events are being held around Wales to inform organisations about the project and events for citizens will begin in June.
