Job Vacancy for Development worker based in Newtown Powys

4 year project part time 10 hours per week

Salary £6,773.71 pa (£23,708 pro rata)

This is an opportunity to work with MANGO (Montgomeryshire Alliance of Neurological Groups and Organisations) under the One Powys – Connecting Voices project.

You will be enabling people with neurological conditions throughout Powys to have a strong and effective voice. You will be working closely with individuals as well as groups and statutory organisations across the area with the goal of understanding and promoting what individuals need to improve services, access to services and a better quality of life.

You will have

• excellent communication skills;
• good ICT skills.
• The ability to relate to people at all levels
• presentation and group-work skills

You will be

• self-motivated, flexible, able to travel, well organised

Experience and knowledge of the implications of living with a chronic medical condition would be an advantage. Ability to communicate in Welsh would be an advantage.

Closing date for applications: 8th July 2013

Interviews will be held on 16th July 2013, when you will be required to give a prepared 10 minute presentation as well as the formal interview.
