An estimated 60,000 people in Wales who will lose rights to disability benefits after an overhaul of the benefit system will struggle to find suitable employment according to new research.

The Sheffield Hallam University report, Tackling worklessness in Wales, has called on the Welsh Government to fund a £100m job creation scheme to help plug the employment gap. Wales’ employment rate lags far behind more prosperous parts of Britain.
