Who is your Rock?

To raise awareness of carers week this year we are asking people to paint a rock and bring it into the Neuro Therapy Centre. The idea is for anyone and everyone to get involved with painting a rock (pebble) in recognition of their ‘rock’ – i.e. someone who offers them support, helps them or cares for them.

For members who attend the Neuro Therapy Centre it is a chance to say “Thank you”, but in the wider community it is about initiating conversations about how we can support each other and those around us in our wider community and about showing gratitude to those who support us.

The painted rocks will be photographed and used on social media, but will also be displayed in the Neuro Therapy Centre coffee lounge and given as gifts of thanks to those in the caring role. This is a great opportunity to recognize people who are so often heroes and heroines in the lives of people living with chronic conditions and disabilities.

We want to acknowledge the wonderful job they do whilst also recognizing that they are individuals with needs of their own. We will be painting in The Centre, but we are asking those that cannot get into the Centre to please paint one and send a picture to us, or post it on Twitter or Facebook using the hashtag #rockNTC
