Disabled access day is all about getting out and visiting a venue that you’ve never been to before – whether a cinema, coffee shop, sports centre or anywhere else…

Some venues are giving offers or holding special events e.g.:

  • National Botanic Garden of Wales is offering free entry for those registering to take part & expert-led guided tours (between 10.30am and 1.30pm). In addition, mobility scooters are available for hire (at a cost of £5), manual wheelchairs (free of charge) and volunteer-driven courtesy buggies on hand.
  • Celebration of Inclusive West Wales, Clynfyw Care Farm, Abercych
  • Aberystwyth Arts Centre:  Q&A dealing with disabled persons concerns and tour of the Arts Centre, free screening of ‘Pride’ in the cinema with subtitles and audio description, coffee/tea and cake and  BSL interpreter will be available.
  • National Trust Aberdulais Tinworks and Waterfall
  • Ye Olde Bulls Head Inn & Townhouse, Beaumaris
  • Celtic Haven Resort, Pembs
